Greetings on the 100th anniversary of the Donetsk Republican Museum of Local History

founded by talented and highly educated people, who understood the importance
of broad public education. Their energy, enthusiasm and dedication have been
instrumental in putting together the museum’s collections of archaeological,
ethnographic and numismatic artefacts, as well as collecting unique documents,
rare print publications, photographs, and samples of products from local
industrial enterprises. This diverse exhibit introduces visitors to the heroic
pages of the history of Donbass, underscores its inextricable links with
Russia, and tells the story of many generations of your countrymen whose
efforts and talents have driven the development of this region and the entire country.
It is important that,
despite the difficult situation at hand, the museum’s team continues to implement research and public awareness projects such as thought-provoking exhibitions
and lectures, guided tours, and other information, creative, and patriotic initiatives.”
